Here it is...just a couple of weeks before the election and I am trying feverishly to find out who is running against the right-wing nut-job currently occupying the House seat for my district. Much to my dismay, the only opposition is an Independent.
From what I read and hear, voting for an Independent in this election is equal to voting for the Republican candidate. So, here I am, in a lose-lose situation. My instinct is to vote for the Independent, because I firmly believe that NO ONE could be a worse Representative than Spencer Bachus, but, at the same time, I don't want to "waste my vote", as it were.
I have no idea what his opponent's platform may be, as his campaign website doesn't seem to be working. I haven't seen any of his ads (assuming he has any), nor have I read anything to tell me what his views may be and whether or not he will be a good choice. I hate to vote for someone about whom I know absolutely nothing, but, in this particular instance, I feel I have no choice.
Any ideas or suggestions, fellow Kossacks?
